Kris Olafson CTO
Kris Olafson has worked in web development and system administration for over 12 years, primarily in higher-education. During that time, Kris has participated in the development, delivery and management of many enterprise level systems. While at the University of Western Ontario, Kris developed an automated financial aid assessment tool, a student portal, a mass email client and various scheduling, registration and reporting systems.
More recently, at the University of Waterloo, Kris led the central Web Content Management System project, where he helped develop and deliver an enterprise level content management platform based on Drupal. Additionally, Kris also has worked on e-commerce systems, tools to support researchers, mobile apps, social project management and collaboration tools.
Kris oversees and executes development of HiveWire’s online solutions, and is further responsible for the development and support of data interchange for client platforms.
Asier Ania Co-Founder
Asier Ania holds a Bachelors of Engineering Science degree and a Masters in Applied Science degree in the field of mechanical engineering. Working with the Canadian Space Agency, Asier conducted technology research as well as designed and executed various technology prototypes within a Mars exploration program. Later working for MDA Space Missions he was involved in leading a team in support of space station robotics operations, interfacing with international space program partners, as well as training astronauts on space station robotics systems.
He recently completed a European Master in Renewable Energy where he was trained in the clean energy sector with a technical focus, as well as being exposed to policy and financing areas. In addition to due diligence work, he researches technology and investment drivers and patterns, both from a Canadian and international perspective.
Christopher Charlesworth CEO & Co-Founder
Christopher Charlesworth holds an MBA from the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, The University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor of Political Science from The University of Western Ontario. Christopher has worked as a management consultant in Indonesia, Canada, and the United States across several practice areas, including financial services, marketing, and social media. As Co-founder and CEO Christopher works to create value for clients by applying HiveWire’s crowdfunding tools and techniques to their strategic objectives.
